
Lecturer in Popular Music
Ursula O’Sullivan BA, BMus, HDE is a graduate of UCC. She also studied piano at CSM with Ronald Lees. She is Course Director of Music, Management and Sound 2 at CSN College of Further Education where she teaches Musicianship and Performance. She delivers the Popular Musicianship and Contextual Harmony modules to Year 1 students of the BAPM degree course at CIT CSM. She spent many years in UCC teaching Keyboard Harmony and Musicianship in the Music Department and also worked in the Education Department where she lectured in Teaching Methodology and supervised the students’ Teaching Practice. She has extensive experience as an accompanist and, in her spare time, she plays bass and sings with the harmony swing trio Stargazers.
