Shane worked as a guitar instructor, music teacher and sound designer while pursuing his Masters. Here, Shane featured with emerging theatre company JustMakeIt Productions on projects such as WishI Was.... and Johnny.

Following graduation, he took up a role as a radio broadcast engineer and studio managerwit h Communicorp, first in their Newstalk studio on Opera Lane and later in the joint TodayFM and Newstalk studios in The Cork Opera House. Shane also works as a Metadata Archiver for Newstalk on a BAI project archiving the stations’s 2002-2016 shows.

Shane has also continued to work as a sound designer during this period, featuring in productions such as The Great Hunger (Theatre Makers), Splintered Soul (ChattybooProductions), A Christmas Carol (Oceans Of Notions Theatre Group), Arrival (JustMakeItProductions), When We Were Young (Everyman Theatre Productions) amongst others.Shane is the guitarist of Elk, an Irish progressive rock trio on the Limerick-based record label Out On A Limb.
