Gradam Ceoil TG4 is the premier annual traditional music awards scheme that honours major figures in Irish traditional music. It is a live televised concert, featuring talented artists from across the country. This years' awards were presented in the Cork Opera House on Sunday, 19th February, where MA student Lucia MacPartlin was honoured to be invited to perform.
Lucia completed her Bachelor of Music degree at the CIT Cork School of Music where she studied classical music with Gregory Ellis and traditional music with Johnny McCarthy. She is now in the second year of her Masters in Performance in Gothenburg, Sweden. She has performed across the world with many different ensembles and orchestras including The National Youth Orchestra of Ireland, The National Folk Orchestra of Ireland, Súptrio and Atlas.
