Zoe Nagle - Winner of Senior Concerto Competition

Congratulations to all the musicians who performed in CSM's annual Senior Concerto Competition on 19th and 20th January.

 

Well done to winner Zoe Nagle (cello) and congratulations to her teacher Chris Marwood.

 

Adjudicator Sarah Sew, Artistic Director of Beckett Chamber Music Series in Dublin and Professor of Violin and Head of Strings at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, was very complimentary in her praise of Zoe and all other competitors, and the standards achieved over the course of the competition. In particular, she praised Zoe's commanding stage presence, strong musical personality and excellent technical control - "a powerful performance".
