Leaving Cert Music at MTU Cork School of Music

 

This class is offered to all 5th students with an interest in taking higher-level Leaving Certificate Music at MTU Cork School of Music (CSM). The course runs weekly, on Saturdays from 12–2pm and is completed over two years. It is not necessary to be a student at the CSM already.

This course provides a thorough preparation for the Core Listening and Composing components of the Leaving Certificate Music exam. Please note that the Performing component is not covered in this class—students will need to prepare for this section independently.

Ideally, students will have completed Junior Cert Music or an equivalent theory qualification. If you have any questions about eligibility, please don’t hesitate to contact Richard.Rudkins@mtu.ie after 1 September.

Applications are open from Monday 25th August and close at 13.00 on Friday 12 September. Applicaitons must be made through our database system, Classter. 

Please note that this course will only run once minimum class number requirements have been met.
