Curated by a voluntary committee, Pause is a platform for local artists and groups to showcase their work, creativity and imagination to the general public. Situated on the ground floor of MTU Cork School of Music, the space hosts ten exhibitions each year between September and June representing a wide range of styles, techniques, and artforms. A list of past exhibitions can be found here.

Opening times during the academic year, September to June, are:

• Mondays to Fridays, 08:00 - 22:00
• Saturdays, 08:30 - 17:30
• Sundays, 09:30 - 17:30

Closed Bank Holidays and subject to reduced hours during Christmas, Easter and Summer breaks.

Prospective Exhibitors

The Pause space is currently programmed through to the end of 2025.

Proposals for future exhibitions and related queries can be made to the exhibition coordinator. Prospective exhibitors are requested to familarise themselves with the Policy Statement before making a proposal.
